Background: Chief Vincel began his career at South Adams County Fire 28 years ago and has held positions as; Firefighter, Fire Inspector, Deputy Fire Marshal, Acting Fire Marshal, and Fire Chief. Chief Vincel holds an Associate Degree in Fire Science from Red Rocks Community College and a Bachelorâs Degree of Fire Service Administration from Metro State University, and currently working on his Masterâs Degree from CSU. In 2021 Chief Vincel received his Chief Fire Officer Designation (CFO) from the Center of Public Safety and Excellence, and holds certifications in Firefighter I - II, Hazmat/Operations, Fire Inspector II/Plans Examiner, NAFI Fire Explosion Investigator, COLS Chief Officer III, NFA Fire/Arson Investigation, Government Business Administration Program, SDA Leadership Academy and PATC Fire Line Supervision and Leadership.

Deputy Chief Noel began with South Adams County Fire 15 years ago as a volunteer firefighter and has held the following positions; Lieutenant, Captain, Assistant Chief, and Battalion Chief. He has an Associates of Science â Fire Science from Columbia Southern University and certificates include; Blue Card Instructor, Fire Officer 2, Hazmat Tech, Hazardous Material Highway Specialist, Operation Section Chief, Colorado Emergency Managers Academy. Deputy Chief Noel oversees Operations, Training, Dispatch and EMS. He serves on the Belle Creek School Board of Directors. Chief Noel is married with two kids and one dog and on his off time, he enjoys fishing, snorkeling and just recently started scuba diving, ATVs and traveling to the Caribbean which he would like to take cruises to see different parts of the world and future plans are to buy a catamaran and sail between the Caribbean islands.
Deputy Chief of Support Koger joined South Adams County Volunteer Fire Department in 1985 as a firefighter and has been with the department for 36 years and held the positions of Firefighter, Lieutenant, Captain, Assistant Chief, Fire Chief and District Board Member and became Administration Support Chief in 2019 and now holds the position of Deputy Chief of Support. He holds an Associates Degree in Occupational Safety Technology and numerous certificates in the fire field including Haz-Mat, Human Resources and Business Management. Chief Kogerâs oversees Information Technology, Fleet Maintenance and Building Maintenance divisions. His hobbies include camping and fishing!
Division Chief Weigum joined South Adams County Fire in 2017 as Division Chief of Fire Prevention/Fire Marshal and has 29 yearsâ experience as Firefighter, Fire inspector, Fire Investigator, Deputy Fire Marshal. He holds an Associates of Fire Science, International Code Council Fire Plans Examiner, Colorado State Fire Inspector III â Plans Examiner, Colorado State Driver Operator Utility, Colorado State Youth Firesetter Invention Specialist, Colorado State Hazardous Material Operations Level, National Association of Fire Investigators Certified Fire and Explosive Investigator, National Association of Fire Investigators Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator. Chief Weigum oversees the Fire Prevention Division; Development and Construction Plan Review, Business Compliance Inspections, Fire and Life Safety Programs, and Fire Investigations.
He is a member of International Fire Chiefs Association, Colorado State Fire Chiefs, Fire Marshalâs Association of Colorado, National Fire Sprinkler Association, National Association of Fire Investigators, International Association of Arson Investigators, and Colorado Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators. Hobbies include; Snow shoeing, 4-wheeling, and spending time with my family.
Division Chief Hackbarth join South Adams in 2020 as Battalion Chief and was promoted in 2021 to Division Chief of Training. BC Hackbarth has 30 years in the fire industry as Aurora Fire Rescue FF â Commander 1995-01/2020, Richfield Fire Rescue FF â 1990-1995 and holds a Masters Degree in Emergency Management. Memberships include IAFF, IAFC, IAAI and when not working he enjoys spending time with my kids and traveling.
Chief Gillan is a Colorado native, born and raised in Arvada. His wife, Courtney is an educator with the local 27J school system, they have four kids ranging from the ages of 9 through 21. They enjoy spending time in the mountains, camping, hiking, and riding ATVâs. He has served with multiple fire departments, both volunteer and career, beginning in 2000. He has been a proud member of South Adams Fire since 2009, beginning as a volunteer and transitioning into serving as a board member for the last four years. He has a degree in Fire Administration and earned his fire officer IV certification, through TEEX. He has served at Arvada, Boulder, Rocky Mountain Arsenal (Army civilian), and for the past 19 years, with the Denver Fire Department, where he last served as Captain of Station 32. Additionally, he served as an active-duty Marine for seven years and in the Colorado Air National Guard, (Fire Department), for fifteen. He officially retired from military service in 2017, in the position of Deputy Chief.
Battalion Chief Roberts joined SACFD in 2021 and is currently covering our A-Shift. BC Roberts has 20 years in the fire industry as Red, White and Blue Fire Protection District FF â Division Chief 2001-2019 and Brighton Fire Rescue District 2019-2021 and holds a Fire Officer II, a Masters Degree in Public Administration, Executive Fire Officer, and Chief Fire Officer Designation. Ryan is actively involved in the fire accreditation program throughout the US. Memberships include the IAFF and IAFC. When not working he enjoys spending time with my kids and following all their activities.
Battalion Chief Ross joined the South Adams County Fire Department in 2002. He has held the positions of Volunteer Fire Fighter, Volunteer Lieutenant, Volunteer Captain, Volunteer Assistant Chief, and Volunteer Fire Chief. In 2014 he accepted the position of Battalion Chief. Battalion Chief Ross also volunteered at the Arvada Fire Department from 1999-2002. He holds an Associate Degree in Fire Science and is a Blue Card Instructor, Fire Officer 2, and EMT-B. Chief Ross is married with two boys and on his time off, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing soccer, camping, fishing, riding dirt bikes, and being outdoors.
Battalion Chief Graff joined SACFD in 2009 as a volunteer member. BC Graff has served within the ranks of Firefighter, Lieutenant, and Captain with SACFD. When not working, he enjoys camping with his family.
Miles joined SACFD in 2017 as a fleet technician and then as a lead fleet technician in 2020, he became our Chief Mechanic where he oversees our fleet division and two shop techs. Mile has an extensive mechanic background with 20+ years of experience and was previously employed at Stewart & Stevenson working on fire trucks and engines out of college then went to the City Of Northglenn as a mechanic for 12 years and then to the Fire Department in 2017. Miles has an Associate Degree in Automotive and Diesel, EVT Certified, ASE Certified, and Diesel Emissions State Certified. Committees include Safety Committee, Uniform Committee, EVT Fire Mechanics. In his off time, spends time with his family camping and outdoors. I have been married to my wife for 18 years and have 2 kids 16 and 14.
